Are you a high schools student going into college or a current college student. We’re here to help you out spiritually and financially!

The AACCWD is home to not one but two scholarship funds! The Father Arshag Scholarship Fund & Remembrance in Music Scholarship Fund.

Father Arshag Khatchadourian Scholarship Fund  

Students will play an integral role in the planning of our new generation of church choirs. They will be assigned to parishes, where the Divine Liturgy and all of its musical components will be taught by an experienced and trained conductor, organist, or vocal sectionalist. This program will serve as the foundation of a new generation of young Armenian members of the church to serve in a musical capacity within their own community. The Chairman’s launch of this initiative comes at a crucial time for succession planning for the new and upcoming generation.

Current Program Requirements (subject to change) 
  • Member of the Armenian Apostolic Church
  • Graduating from an accredited high school this academic year/ continuing college studies
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher (Transcripts must be supplied along with 2 letters of recommendation)
  • Major/minor in music studies pertaining to voice, composition, conducting, or organ studies
Program Requirements(subject to change) :
  • Upon acceptance, students will be assigned to a local parish to continue their sacred music studies with a trained vocal sectionalist, conductor, or organist.
  • Students will have to partake in Divine Liturgy within their area of STUDY at least once a month

Remembrance in Music Scholarship Fund

This music scholarship fund will be available to graduating high school students or present collegiate students who are majoring or minoring in a music degree. This scholarship in contrast to our Father Arshag Khatchadourian fund will only be available to those whose lives have been marked with a loss of a loved one while serving in the armed forces.

Current Program Requirements (subject to change) : 

  • Member of the Armenian Apostolic Church
  • Graduating from an accredited high school this academic year/ continuing college studies
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher (Transcripts must be supplied along with 2 letters of recommendation)
  • Major/minor in music studies pertaining to voice, composition, conducting, or organ studies
  • Descendent of a fallen armed forces hero
